I prefer the flavor of sunbutter to peanut butter, but it is different, not necessarily a full replacement. I love peanut butter as well. It isn't so much a dessert butter like macadamia and cashew butters (I'll eat those straight for dessert, sometimes on ice cream, but I wouldn't dream of a macadamia nut butter and jelly sandwich). It fills a somewhat similar niche to peanut butter (hearty, filling, a bit savory) but it has a unique flavor and is a bit more delicate than PB. If you or someone in your family has peanut allergies, this is a no brainer. If not I think it is still worth trying (perhaps find a place where you can find a single jar before committing to six?) SunButter comes the closest to tasting like peanutbutter, from what I can remember (been years since I was diagnosed with severe intolerance to nuts and peanuts).This brand has a good balance between salty and sweet, and has a roasted seed flavor that gives it the little extra yumminess. Other brands taste flat compared to Sunbutter. I eat this on fruit (apples & bananas & some cinnamon), toast, rice cakes, soy cream, smoothies, sandwiches, and by itself on a spoon.
